Condo Renovation

Our clients decided to downsize. To meet their current family configuration and to be able to age in place in their next home, they bought two adjoining condos in a historic high rise building on University Hill in Columbia. They combined the two apartments into one unit with a more open floor plan. They asked Longfield to handle the total renovation. Both apartments were taken down to the studs, replacing the HVAC system, all wiring, plumbing, and most walls. When asbestos was discovered, we immediately performed asbestos abatement, working with the Condo Association and city to ensure that all was removed safely and completely. Porcelain tile floors, energy-efficient sliding French doors, marble and stone countertops in the kitchen and baths along with custom trim, doors, and cabinetry complete the look. Our clients’ modern urban apartment is a dream come true for them.
